Sarah 31,

Sarcoma inspired me to change careers

"At the age of 27 I was diagnosed with MPNST. I had two tumours removed one turned out to be sarcoma the other benign. I had ignored the pain in my back for a long time thinking it was down to sitting on tiny chairs at work. However I was soon to find out after a PET scan that I had a tumour in my lumbar spine and it looked malignant. I had surgery over two weeks and was lucky enough to not need any other treatment. I have since given up teaching in the hope of going to university this year to study Occupational Therapy. Inspired by all the OTs I've come across during my continued recovery. "

Thank you
