Anita 43,

live life and have fun along the way

"On my 43rd birthday my gyne consultant any told me he suspected I had cervical cancer. Wow that was a shock! The very next day he removed a polyp under GA. Biopsy confirmed cells were malignant but luckily subsequent scans showed no spread. After slides were referred to London I was diagnosed with grade 1B non-specific spindle cell sarcoma. I have been told it is extremely rare. Well that's me - I have to be different. Anyway my lovely consultant was amazing and reassured me the sarcoma was treatable with surgery. I am now cancer free and just have to have 3 monthly catch ups. Apparently he isn't bored of me yet. I have been positive throughout and this 'blip' has taught me I am a very lucky lady with amazing friends and family. Time to live life and have fun along the way "
